How to Get a Library Card Residents The following categories of patrons shall be issued resident cards free of charge: · Permanent residents of Crawford County. · Property owners in Crawford County. · Persons employed in Crawford County. · Students enrolled in schools in Crawford County. Non-Residents Patrons who are not eligible for a resident card may use a non-resident card. There is an annual fee of $10.00 for the non-resident card. Any library in the Crawford County Library System may issue a resident card to a patron who qualifies for a resident library card at another library in the system. Cards issued at one of the libraries in the Crawford County Library System shall be honored by any other library in the system. A complete physical application is required to receive a library card. The application requires: · Name, mailing address, telephone number · Date of Birth · Signature · Whether or not the applicant wishes to register to vote. · Two forms of ID. One form must be a photo ID, such as a driver’s license or other government-issued identification. AND One of the following forms of ID showing current address: · Utility bill. · Printed check. · Tax receipt. · Mail delivered to current address. · Other items which provide satisfactory proof of current address. When an applicant has successfully registered for a card, they may check out 3 items at that time. When those items are returned, normal check-out rules apply. For persons under 18, a legally responsible party is required. The Responsible party's written name and signature is necessary to check out items.

Yeager Meeting Room The Yeager Meeting Room in Van Buren accommodates a maximum of 150 individuals and provides chairs and tables for seating arrangements. There's a wireless microphone system available for use, along with a laser projector and laptop for presentations. A Facility Use Request form must be submitted to the CCLS Secretary prior to use. Per CCLS policies, library meeting rooms are available for use by local non-profit organizations. For-profit organizations may also use the meeting rooms, provided the purpose of the meeting is non-profit and approved by the Crawford County Library System. Databases Education Genealogy Kids & Students Arkansas History Category: Education Provides language learning experiences with step-by-step lesson plans for 163 languages, ESL courses for 146 native languages, American Sign Language courses, and classes for children. *First time users are encouraged to create a profile in order to best use this resource. Visit EBSCO's Learning Express to find Tests, Tutorials, eBooks and more. Learning Express is provided by the Arkansas State Library through the Arkansas Traveler Database. This resource can be accessed from any personal computer or smartphone. First-time users must create a profile in order to use the resource. The Traveler program provides free remote access for all Arkansas citizens to high-quality subscription databases from reputable publishers. The databases contain a variety of information sources: popular magazines, newspapers and periodicals; academic and professional journals, eBook collections, and general reference and discovery sources that are suitable for online and scholarly research.The Traveler program presents a significant costs savings. Traveler spends approximately $750 per library, but each library would pay over $100,000 to duplicate the same resources and access.
